Who we are

mteen Wellness LLC provides online mindfulness and educational programs for teenagers, parents, schools, and educators. This policy applies to mteen websites and the mtRoot cohort registration flow.

Information we collect

  • Teen name, age, email, and optional phone number.
  • Parent or guardian name, email, phone number, and consent record.
  • A WhatsApp-active number, timezone, optional emergency contact, and referral source.
  • Enrollment, payment status, session-reminder, and participant-dashboard access records.
  • Messages you send to the mteen team.

Why we use it

  • To register a participant, verify guardian consent, and manage cohort capacity.
  • To process payment and provide receipts, confirmations, calendars, access links, and reminders.
  • To deliver live Zoom sessions, Mitra practices, and WhatsApp logistics.
  • To provide participant support, respond to safety concerns, and improve future cohorts.

Minors and guardian consent

mtRoot is designed for teenagers ages 13-19. Enrollment is not activated without parent or legal-guardian consent. A guardian may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of a minor's registration information, subject to records we must retain for payment, safety, or legal obligations.

Services that help us operate

We share only the information needed with service providers that run the program, such as Stripe for payment, Resend for email, Zoom for live sessions, WhatsApp for logistics, our database and hosting providers, and Mitra for guided practice. Their own privacy terms also apply when you use those services.

Retention and protection

We keep registration and participation information only as long as reasonably needed to operate the cohort, support families, maintain payment and consent records, and meet legal obligations. Access to the cohort roster and private session links is restricted. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.

Your choices

A parent, guardian, or adult participant may ask to access or correct their information, withdraw optional communications, or request deletion where applicable by emailing info@mteen.us. Withdrawing consent before the program ends may mean the teen can no longer participate.
